Chapter 11

The Meet with the Don’s

Thursday had approached fast but within hours of the meeting, time just ticked by slowly. However, she wasn’t a least bit scared. She was just ready to get the shit over. Deep in her heart Dice knew there was more to this hit then what was told to her, for the Don’s to be so persisting on her doing the job. One thing she knew for sure was if they didn’t respect or answer her questions to her liking they wouldn’t walk out the club alive. She made sure every weapon was cleaned loaded and that all the sniper’s were in full shoot to kill mode with the press of a button from her cell phone.

She was on her office phone making calls for the final touches for the event she would be hosting for Blaque. “So, everyone on his list did clear as good? Well, I hope so cause I don’t have no room for slip up’s or motherfuckers getting into my club. I’m having enough of those issues; from them regular ass backgrounds you gave me. Had a straight pig in my shit but I will get with you later, fam.” She said into the phone, “Let me know when you get that too.” She hung up the phone just as Slim was buzzing to get in her office.

“This is a big ass place, but its super nice and you can tell you didn’t spare any expense.”

“Thanks, Slim.” Dice replied, with her eyes glued to the screen of her iMac.

“You came a long way, ma, from the young girl I met years ago. Now you are this beautiful business orientated women”

“Thanks.” Dice wasn’t trying to get in deep with Slim, her feeling for him ran too deep. So she kept her guard up trying to ignore him and being mean to him hoping he would pick up and leave, but there was something in his eyes when he looked at her that let her know he wasn’t going anywhere, at least not for the moment. Dice didn’t know how to feel about that, her and Slim couldn’t be around each other without her hormones doing backflips for him.

“What made you want to open up a club, ma?” Slim asked taking a seat across from her.

“I needed something to occupy my time, since I wasn’t traveling and doing hits anymore. So, having a club where I can combine all the things I’m use to doing on a regular worked perfect for me.

“And what all goes on in The Paradice Lounge?” Slim asked.

Dice looked at Slim and the smile on his face, “Well, at The Paradice Lounge anything goes, if your money’s right.”

Slim had to laugh because he knew how true her words were, “You’re crazy for that, ma.”

“Where else can you go where you can have a business meeting, get into something wet and tight and orchestrate a hit on the next man’s life. I enjoyed all those things, so I built a club where I can entertain those in that lifestyle.
